Peter Cosmetatos

Director, Finance and Investment, British Property Federation

Peter is Director, Finance and Investment at the British Property Federation, with responsibility for formulating and articulating BPF policy on a wide range of tax and related issues of interest to the industry.

Before joining the BPF, Peter worked as a tax lawyer at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and at Wragge & Co with, in each case, a strong focus on property and property finance work.  After more than ten years in private practice watching helplessly as the tax system grew ever more complex and helping to structure transactions in the face of that increasing complexity, he is relishing the broader role and greater policy focus of work at the BPF.

His expertise brings a new dimension to the technical capabilities available to Reita, providing an in depth understanding of the rapidly changing legislative environment that is driving the development of REITs and property investment vehicles.
