Neil Cable

Head of Direct Property Investment, Fidelity International

Neil Cable is Head of European Real Estate Investment at Fidelity International Ltd (FIL).

Prior to joining Fidelity Mr Cable enjoyed a long career with Standard Life. He set up a new property research team in 1990 and was closely involved in developing the company’s strategy for entry into continental European real estate markets in 1995. Mr Cable served as a fund manager, Investment Director and Deputy Head of UK Institutional Business. He was also a leading spokesman in the UK and Europe. Mr Cable joined Fidelity in May 2006 and has ambitious plans to develop a range of real estate funds over the next few years which will make Fidelity one of the premier property managers in Europe.

Born in 1965, Mr Cable received an MA (Honours) in Economics from Aberdeen University in 1989. Mr Cable also obtained Diploma in Property Investment from College of Estate Management, Reading in 1995.

FIL provides investment products and services to individuals and institutional investors outside of the Americas, ranging from mutual funds and defined contribution pensions, to segregated portfolios and multi-manager products. FIL’s assets under management exceed $275 billion* and it has offices in 23 countries including the UK, Germany, Japan, Hong Kong and India.
