Reita member benefits
Reita is a unique proposition. It offers its members:The opportunity to be associated with a leading industry peer group in an initiative that delivers a clearer understanding of property investment amongst retail investors, financial advisers and market influencers with a view to supporting the long-term, effective development of the industry.
The key member benefits of being a member of Reita are:
- Being part of a successful initiative supporting property market development
- Getting a tailored approach to reaching your audiences
- The opportunity to share knowledge and expertise and carry influence
- Having an information resource adaptable to your needs
- Subscribing to a membership model that works
1. Supporting property market development
Informing, influencing and educating
We all want private investors and their advisers to have a clear understanding of how the
property investment market works and how and where they can invest.
When investors and their advisers feel properly informed about a sector – they’re naturally more comfortable investing in it.
Reita works on behalf of the property industry and its members to ensure this (often complex) information is presented from an authoritative source in a way that is both comprehensive and straightforward.
In turn, this enables us to be a key influencer on issues which may affect how investors view you:
- by providing an authoritative source of non partisan, expert information on property investment vehicles, markets and performance, both in the UK and globally
- in the development of advisers’ (IFAs and PCBs) understanding of property investment through its website, its involvement with new and upcoming qualifications and through its work with organisations such as the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) (the leading qualifications body for financial services professionals) and the Investment Property Forum (IPF)
- by ensuring journalists have an informed and balanced view of the property investment world. As well as up-to-date information we provide press access to leading industry experts
2. A tailored approach to reaching your audiences
According to your needs
Reita can offer different types of support and expertise depending on the needs of your
organisation. For some, access to our PR and marketing functions can be a very cost effective way
to raise your profile to your target market. For others our ability to offer non-partisan support
to your existing activities, an additional channel to market, and individual support for smaller
campaigns (or particular funds, for example) may be more relevant benefits.
Supporting your brand and raising your profile
Once you join Reita our Marketing and PR specialists will contact you to discuss how we can
support your individual marketing objectives. We’ll invite you to take part in regular industry and
press facing activities with the aim of: raising your profile if required, providing valuable
(attributed) comment to the press and investor groups, and associating you with our prestigious
member group of industry leaders.
We have close ties within, across and outside the industry and with the press – so you can use us as an expert source of information, resources and contacts. We’ll also invite you to participate in press-facing and networking activities:
-
Presenting an authoritative view from the industry:
Take part in our regular Expert Panel Survey which forms the basis of our Quarterly Property Investment Perspective – which is widely reported in the press -
Regular market reports into adviser views
Represent your organisation in a key quarterly TV panel debate (distributed to around 40,000 desktops) which – together with our IFA census market research – forms the basis of our Quarterly Market Update -
Journalist events and lunches
Talk to a hand picked group of leading journalists from the nationals and trade press about issues in the industry. -
Specialist focus
We will work with you to highlight your areas of specialisation with performance reporting, research and features. We’ll also feature your news and your stories.
3. Sharing knowledge, expertise and the opportunity to influence
Reita members cover a broad representation of the property investment industry, from small caps
to some of the largest UK companies, from offshore investment companies to supporting organisations
such as investment banks, law firms, information providers and industry bodies.
With this wealth of expertise across such a variety of sectors, Reita provides members with
the chance to learn from each others’ experiences through shared information, the exchange of ideas
and networking opportunities.
Reita provides its members with an opportunity to shape industry strategy, for example with its initiatives involving specialist research and through working with educational programmes and providers.
Reita also represents the interests of more niche sectors, as well as the industry as a whole. By tapping into our members’ knowledge and expertise and putting it together with our own skills and resources we’re able to create a specialist focus on individual industry areas. For example we’v e created bespoke content and information areas for groups such as the Guernsey Investment Companies.
4. Your information source
Expert, authoritative and recognised
Reita.org has been recognised as an authoritative source of property investment information
by industry bodies such as HMRC and the FSA as well as through its awards for innovation and
education initiatives. We are also often the first port of call for journalists researching stories
on industry issues. The site is also a valuable resource for institutional investors as well as
international investors looking for information on the UK market.
Members are represented on our site with individual profile pages, as well as through the various data and company information sections. We invite you to share other relevant and timely information with our key audiences.
Members can also take advantage of much of our web content, as many of our tools, tables and editorial content can be repurposed for your own sites:
- Authoritative, up-to-date information on markets and trends
- Data information on REITs, UK Quoted property companies and Guernsey Investment Companies all in one place
- Charting tool to compare performance of above
- Discount to NAV indices chart
5. A model that works
Cost-effective, fast and efficient
The Reita model works because we’re able to call on the sum of our members’ expertise; we
offer direct access to your target markets and we’re measured by results. Our
Annual Report shows you what activities we’ve undertaken over the previous 12
months, what resources were used and successes achieved.
In challenging market conditions we’re certain of the need for authoritative, expert information and confident of our ability to deliver it in a comprehensive, but accessible way.
